The Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar
3 min read
Friday's here, and it's a long weekend — the last real push of summer. This week we're skipping the single glass entirely and going full build-your-own bar. Mix the base, set out the garnishes, let everyone build their own.
Meet The Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar
Bold, savory, and made for a crowd that's got all weekend. The base does the heavy lifting — tomato juice, vodka, and a proper kick of Worcestershire and hot sauce — while a full garnish spread turns it into something people will gather around all weekend long.
You'll need:
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 2 cups vodka
- 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Celery stalks, bacon strips, pickle spears, lime wedges, and olives, for the garnish spread
How to build it:
- In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire, hot sauce, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir well and chill.
- Lay out the celery, bacon, pickles, lime, and olives on a board or tray.
- Pour the base over ice in glasses. Let everyone build their own from the spread.
Notes
This one's built for a self-serve setup, not individual pours. Mix the base ahead of time and chill it, then lay out the garnishes on a board or tray so everyone builds their own. Bacon, pickles, olives, celery, and lime are a strong starting spread — add cheese cubes, cocktail shrimp, or mini sliders if you want to go further.
Cheers to the long weekend. Happy Labor Day. 🇺🇸
